Dr. Alfred Phillips is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in joint replacement, lower limb reconstruction and trauma. With a patient-centered approach, he is dedicated to restoring function and improving quality of life through evidence-based surgical and non-surgical management.


Dr. Phillips completed his Orthopaedic training in 2021 and is a native of the Gold Coast. His advanced training includes specialised fellowships in Robotic assisted joint replacement, lower limb reconstruction and trauma both in Australia and Internationally.

In addition to his work at Pindara, He is also currently a Staff Specialist at Gold Coast University Hospital. He prides himself on his communication skills and collaborates closely with general practitioners to optimise patient outcomes, whether through conservative management or surgical intervention. Known for his compassionate and holistic approach, he prioritises patient education and shared decision-making.

Dr. Phillips welcomes referrals for conditions including hip and knee arthritis, sports injuries, fractures, and complex lower limb reconstructions. He is committed to working alongside primary care providers to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
